A Gears of War 2 ugyanis az Xbox 360-as játékok között az élen végzett, igaz, még ez az eredmény is kevés volt ahhoz, hogy a játék az összesített toplistán bejusson a legjobbak közé. Ott a dobogó első helyén a World of Warcraft áll, őt pedig a FIFA 10 és a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 követi. Előreugrott pár helyet a Mount & Blade kiegészítője, a Warband is.
